Redfall, a multiplayer vampire shooter from Arkane Studios, was released earlier this year to mixed reviews from critics and players. Game Informer rated Redfall 5 out of 10. Prior to its May release, Xbox disclosed that Redfall would only be available on Xbox Series X/S in a 30 FPS Quality Mode; a Performance Mode would follow at a later, unspecified time. That time has come—nearly six months later—Performance Mode is active in Redfall.
The patch notes for today’s Redfall update from the game’s publisher Bethesda don’t specifically explain how this Performance Mode operates, but it runs the game at 60 frames per second. More accessibility options, improved multiplayer communication, stealth takedowns, and other features that were hotly awaited are all included in this update for Arkane.
“This patch brings a Performance Mode to Xbox Series X/S, stealth takedowns, new controller settings, accessibility improvements, and much more,” according to the update notes. “Explore an even more dangerous Redfall with an increased open-world enemy population and new encounters.”

- Check out the Default, Low, or Medium Input Response Presets if you enjoy single-player first-person shooter games because the slower response curves tend to make you feel like you have a little more control over your aim.
- Your overall left- and right-turning speeds will directly increase or decrease as your controller sensitivity is changed from the Input Response Presets default value.
- Consider trying out Default/Strong/Very Strong Aim Assist Strength and ADS Snap Strength if you want that assistance for players who turn up their Controller Sensitivity.
- Try Very Weak/Weak/Default Aim Assist Strength and ADS Snap Strength presets for players who turn down their Controller Sensitivity to avoid the sensation of fighting for control of your aim.
