The Season 2 update for Diablo IV is a substantial one, but Blizzard has already hinted at what players can anticipate from patch 1.2.1, the update that will follow the release of Season 2.
Training dummies and the ability to reset Paragon Boards were both mentioned by Blizzard during its most recent developer Campfire Chat livestream, though the company will have more information to share soon.
Players can test out builds and items on the training dummies in a secure setting, in this case an abandoned cellar beneath the city of Kyovashad. Dummies can be modified to look like elites, bosses, enemy groups, and more.
The team is aware that fans have been requesting the ability to reset Paragon Boards for a while, according to Diablo community lead Adam Fletcher, who says it will be included in patch 1.2.1. The modification will make it easier for players to respec their characters and try out different builds, which was already possible with the game’s talent tree.
According to Fletcher, Patch 1.2.1 will be released before BlizzCon on November 3; however, Fletcher later clarified that the update will be released near the end of October. At BlizzCon, more information about Diablo IV’s future will be revealed. As part of the BlizzCon 2023 digital goodie bag collection, those who attend the convention or are willing to pay $30 to $50 can pick up some Diablo IV in-game items.
“We’re going to be constantly updating and adding new features to the game within Season 2, and players will hear more about that at BlizzCon and future streams,” Fletcher stated.
On October 17, Diablo IV Season 2, officially known as Season of Blood, debuts. The Season 2 patch for Diablo IV aims to drastically rebalance a number of game mechanics, from how players deal damage to how its endgame grind functions. The same day that Season 2 launches on Steam, Diablo IV will follow suit.
