“Although I certainly can’t discuss any upcoming Fallout games at this time, I would say that we should sort of rush through them or get things out that is different from the work we’re doing in 76.We don’t think that any of it needs to be rushed,” he remarked. “The Fallout TV show fills a certain niche in terms of the franchise and storytelling.”

Fallout 4, which was launched in 2015, was the final mainline Fallout game. Over the course of the following year, DLC for the game was progressively made available for PC and consoles, and in 2018, Bethesda released Fallout 76, a spinoff focused mostly on multiplayer. Although players began to pour money into the open-world role-playing game set in West Virginia, the Bethesda series didn’t take off until the Fallout TV series debuted on Prime Video.
When it comes to his demands for a big video game release, Howard is unwavering. For him, it all boils down to a desire to handle its franchises with respect.
“I don’t believe that missing things is a terrible thing.
“Totally get the desire for a new kind of mainline single-player game,” he stated. “And remember, those tasks require time. It’s okay in my opinion for folks to miss stuff. Whether it’s Elder Scrolls, Fallout, or now Starfield, we just want to get it right and make sure that everything we produce in a franchise becomes a memorable experience for everyone who enjoyed these titles as much as we did.”
While acknowledging that Bethesda is still committed to improving Starfield and is now concentrating on The Elder Scrolls 6, he said, “that doesn’t mean that we’re not making plans for other things.”
